Hi! I'm Chané.
I have a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication from the University of Alberta. I'm obsessed with visual identity branding, web design, and packaging design. I dabble in photography and illustration as compliments to my much stronger typography skills.
I'm passionate about all things local, small business, and environment & conservation. I spent this past summer as a marketing assistant with the Alberta Beekeepers Commission and currently I am interning with Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation based in Samos, Greece. I am eager to find more opportunities to use my creative skills to make a positive impact in my local and global community.
I'm also an artist! I consider myself a dry media artist and printmaker, but I've recently discovered gouache (we'll see how it goes). My drawings are predominantly charcoal, graphite, and coloured pencil and I take great pride in my photo-realism style. On my printmaking side, I work with relief printing and silkscreen, but my heart really lies in lino carving. I wouldn't say I'm strongly drawn to any one topic and tend to move my focus around from project to project. My most common inspirations come from family, identity, humour, film, and my dogs.

My favourite thing in the world is making. Crafting, DIYs, and any form of art is my therapy. I find so much joy in creating truly unique and custom gifts, decor, objects, etc. for the people I love (and myself!)
My hero is Sir David Attenborough. I have watched every published BBC documentary series back to front, and I'm sure I could even recite most of the Blue Planet series.
If I had to pick one movie to watch for the rest of my life it would The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (dir. Wes Anderson)
These are my three best friends, they appear in my work, conversations, and camera roll pretty often.
